Using The Internet Connection Wizard

1. To create a new dial-up connection using Microsoft's Internet
Connection Wizard, first you need to double click on My Computer then
double click on Dial-Up Networking. In the Dial-Up Networking window you
will see "Make a New Connection", double click on it, the Internet
Connection Wizard will now start.


2. Once the Internet Connection Wizard begins it will ask you questions
and you will answer them by filling in the correct information. MVA.NET's connection wizard support will assist you in answering these
questions. The first question that the wizard will ask you is:
 Click the option you want, and then click Next.

 I have an existing account through my phone line or local area network
(LAN). Help me set up my computer to connect to this Internet account.

   

After you answer that question, hit Next.


3.The next question asks you to Select an option, then click Next. You
will answer...
 Select this option if you are connecting to the Internet using an
Internet service provider or local area network.

    

After you answer that question, hit Next.


4. Then next question asks you Which method do you want to use to
connect to the Internet? You will answer...
 Connect using my phone line.

    

After you answer that question, hit Next.


5. The next question asks you to Type the number you dial to connect to
your Internet service provider. You will enter...
   1. The area code
   2. Your local access number (click here for a list of local access
numbers)

   

After you answer that question, hit Next.


6. The next question asks for your username and password. You will
enter.
  1.Your username
  2.Your password

    

After you answer that question, hit Next.


7. The next question asks you if you want to change the advanced
settings for this connection. You will answer YES to this question.
    

After you answer that question, hit Next.


8. The next question asks, What type of connection do you have? You will
answer...
  PPP (Point to Point Protocol)

   

After you answer that question, hit Next.


9. The next question asks if your Internet service provider requires a
logon procedure. You will answer...
  I don't need to type anything when logging on

   

After you answer that question, hit Next.


10. The next question asks what Internet protocol (IP) address do you
use. You will answer...
  My Internet service provider automatically assigns me one

 

After you answer that question, hit Next.


11. The next question asks for a DNS server address. You will answer...
  My Internet service provider automatically sets this when I sign in

   

After you answer that question, hit Next.


12. The next question asks for a dial-up connection name. You will
enter...
  MVA.NET

After you answer that question, hit Next.


13. The next question asks if you would like to setup your Internet
mail. You will choose NO.
    

After you answer that question, hit Next.


14. The next question asks if you would like to setup your Internet news
account. You will choose NO.
    

After you answer that question, hit Next.


15. The next question asks if you would like to setup your Internet
directory service. You will choose NO.
    

After you answer that question, hit Next.


16. Now you can click on Finish to finish the wizard. To use the new
dial-up connection you just created, double click on My Computer, double
click on Dial-Up Networking, then double click on MVA.NET. Make
sure your username is in the username field, enter your password, and
when you are ready, hit connect.
