1. To configure your computer's dial-up networking
settings in Windows
NT, you must do the following. Double click on My Computer
then double
click on Dial-Up Networking. Once dial-up networking is
open, make sure
your phonebook entry to dial is MVA.NET (phonebook
entry name may
differ). Once you verify that the phonebook entry is on MVA.NET,
click on More then click on Edit entry and modem properties.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Now that the phonebook entry properties window is
open, in front of
you there should be basic properties. These properties
include: Entry
Name, Phone Number, and Connect Using. Make sure that in the
phone
number field you have a local dial-up number which is local
to you (
click here for a list of local dial-up
numbers). Also, make sure that
your modem is in the Connect Using entry box.
3. Click on the Server tab. This tab window contains
information about
the MVA.NET server. Make sure that where it says Dial-Up Server
Type you have PPP: Windows NT, Windows 95 Plus, Internet
selected (PPP
entry may vary between versions of Windows NT). Also in the Network
Protocols section, the only check box you want checked off
is TCP/IP.
After you have checked these settings, Click on TCP/IP Settings.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. In the TCP/IP Settings window, you should
have the following settings
with the bullet next to them.
Server Assigned IP Address
Server Assigned Name Server Addresses
Also, both boxes at the bottom of the window need to be checked
off.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
When finished modifying these settings, click OK 2 times (once
on in the
TCP/IP Settings window, and once in the original phonebook entry
window)
. Close the My Computer window, if it is open, and connect to
the
internet as usual.
