Internet Explorer version 4.x is capable of proxy autoconfiguration on Windows systems, as described below. If you are using a Mac you will need to follow the manual configuration instructions.

The steps on Windows systems are as follows:

1. Select View/Internet Options/Connection. The following window will open:

   

2. Go to Automatic Proxy Configuration and click Configure.

   (NB don't check the "Access the Internet using a proxy server" box)

3. Enter the URL proxy.mva.net:8080 and click Refresh
4. The Proxy Settings screen should look like this:

   

5. Click OK and exit the Internet Options configuration.
