To manually configure a browser, you will need to specify the proxy server for each type of URL (HTTP, FTP, and Secure) that should be requested via the proxy, by listing the hostname

HTTP: phil2.mva.net port: 8080

FTP: phil2.mva.net port: 8443

SECURE: phil2.mva.net port:8021

You may need to check the browser's documentation for how to specify the proxy server details. In particular, there is considerable variation in how browsers expect you to specify systems or domains for which the proxy server should not be used - e.g. "*.uk", ".uk", or just "uk". If you need to add several exclusions, there is also variation in how a list of names must be specified, e.g. using space, comma, or semicolon as separators between items.
